Project background & objectives

Every year in France, there are between 2,300 and 2,500 new cases of pediatric cancer. Pediatric cancer is the second leading cause of death in children over the age of 1.

This cohort is based on a standardized data model applicable to all types of cancer and oncology specialties (surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, etc.) in order to facilitate the use of this data for clinical and research purposes.

The main objective of the LUCC (Large & Unified Cancer Cohort) pediatric cohort is to better understand the progression of pediatric cancer and accelerate therapeutic innovation for the benefit of affected patients. In order to facilitate the implementation of the project. A secondary objective is to evaluate and optimize the artificial intelligence algorithms used to automatically collect data from your medical records, which will improve the performance of these tools.

Inclusion criteria & study variables

The LUCC pediatrics cohort is open to all types of institutions. To be eligible for inclusion in the study, patients must meet the following criteria:

- Present cancerous lesions established by histological examination;

- All patients who are being treated or have been treated for cancer or another tumor before the age of 25;

- Not having objected to the collection, storage, and processing of their personal health data . In order to provide as comprehensive a picture as possible of lung cancer patients, the cohort consists of numerous variables covering the following areas:

Why take part in the project?
